Flying Air Seychelles Business Class is probably the best possible option to achieve a luxury 2-week stay in Seychelles ; whatever your final destination you will enjoy a very convenient 1-hour stopover at Abu Dhabi allowing to benefit all Etihad Airways Business Class features, thanks to a joint venture between these companies.
Seychelles is a pricey destination – especially for flight tickets – but this disadvantage is certainly the main positive point for luxury travellers: flying business class is reserved only to happy few and make you feel like in first class. On one hand the airport premium lounge – Salon Vallée de Mai – offers plenty of space for few passengers, with a 180 degree view over the tarmac and the Indian Ocean while on the other hand the Air Seychelles Business Class cabin – also named Pearl Class – count only 18 seats of 254 total in their A330-200 aircraft. Definitely, the crew is at your disposal, very attentive and does its best to make your journey comfortable.
Seat Experience
The A330-200 Air Seychelles Business Class cabin is a 2-2-2 configuration with a shell seat allowing multiple positions, including a full-flat bed mode for a total pitch of 208cm (!!) ; we did the first part of our trip in economy and honestly, this feature changes everything! Then each passenger can enjoy a 10-inch screen and a quite basic – but well-provided – entertainment system with recent movies. In other words, nothing exceptional for the seat itself but it really makes the difference from economy when you are luxury lovers and travelling for holidays :)
Catering
As they say on Air Seychelles website, business passengers can “enjoy the convenience of the Dine on Demand service” which consists of a list of available dishes orderable at any time and indeed, that’s very convenient! I have to also say that they are very good and well cooked, even if I would better appreciate them in a more business class configuration with a table service – separate plates, covers, etc. – instead of a economy-like meal tray. Anyway, good job and I especially recommend the Creole dish, daily renew, that enables to feel once more the Seychelles spirit..
