However, to some, it can be venturing into the wilderness and being one with nature. By going on a safari, you can embark on an adventurous journey that allows you to witness stunning scenery and landscapes and have close encounters with spectacular wildlife.

Here is an itinary for two weeks in the African savannah. Explore and travel from the grasslands of Kenya to the national parks of South Africa.
Starting a luxurious safari
Day 1 : arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and tranfer to Giraffe Manor, a boutique hotel that is also home to endangered Rothschild giraffes. Spend leisurely time at the manor and enjoy interacting with these creatures. After lunch and a short drive, you go to Nairobi Wilson Airport and fly to Maasai Mara where you will stay at Angama Mara for ultra-luxury stay experiences.
Day 2 : enjoy breakfast overlooking the breathtaking panoramic views of the Maasai Mara grassland. You can head for some walking safaris and hot-air ballooning thereafter. You can also get a fantastic view of the Great Migration from August to November from the top. While you are here you can also enjoy sightings of Africa’s Big Five – leopard, elephant, buffalo, lion and black rhino. The strategic location of Angama Mara also allows you to encounter some of the bird species in Maasai Mara.
Gorgeous trip to Tanzania
Day 3 : depart for Tanzania. After landing at Kilimanjaro Airport, transfer to your accommodation in Arusha. While touring Tanzania, stay at the beautiful Ngorongoro Crater Lodge perched on the rim of the crater. After lunch, you will head to Lake Manyara National Park where you can get good sightings of flamingos, hippos, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest and even tree-climbing lions. Finish your day with a delicious meal.
Day 4 : after breakfast, hike Kilimanjaro in Tanzania or hop on to a light aircraft that flies you directly to the central section of the Serengeti National Park :) Here you can game drive in the rolling grasslands and pass through the wildebeest migration. With plenty of river crossings, Serengeti is the ‘Holy Grail’ of migration and the greatest spectacle on the planet.
Head out to Zambia
Day 5 : depart from Tanzania and take a flight to Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia. From here you will connect to a light aircraft flight to Mfuwe and then get transferred to your accommodation at the luxurious Chinzombo Safari Camp. You can take some time to relax and unwind and have lunch. After lunch, you will head for a game drive in South Luangwa National Park for the rest of the day. If you are game driving for the first time you should know what to expect on a game drive. In the evening after meals, prepare for a nocturnal wildlife night drive.
Day 6 : after breakfast, enjoy a walking safari with the best local guides and learn more about the area. Then take a safari drive and head to Mchenja Bushcamp overlooking the Luangwa River. Here you can enjoy more camp activities during the evening hours and spend quality time watching the animals come and go by.
Fly to Zimbabwe
Day 7 : depart from Zambia and head to Zimbabwe where you will be transferred to a hotel in the heart of Victoria Falls. Stay at the luxurious Victoria Falls Hotel and unwind. After lunch, go for a walk or take a helicopter ride to enjoy the ariel view of the falls. In the evening enjoy an African boat cruise where you spot plenty of birdlife, elephants and hippos in the vicinity.
Day 8 : after breakfast, you will be driven to Hwange National Park where you will stay at the Somalisa Camp set in the heart of the national park. Here you will meet your guide and go for a game drive in the grasslands. Take a break for lunch and then continue with a walking safari and track a herd of elephants. In the evening hours, take a light aircraft flight to Lake Kariba for a sunset cruise and spectacular stargazing activity. While you are here don’t forget to bring in the best binoculars for stargazing and safaris.
Discover reserves and national parks
Day 9 : from Zimbabwe, take a flight and arrive at the Kasane International Airport from where you will be transferred to your accommodation at Chief’s Island in the Moremi Game Reserve. You can take your time to settle before lunch and then the afternoon activity begins. After lunch, head for a game drive in the most active area with a healthy population of wild cats and dogs.
Day 10 : in the morning after breakfast, head to Chobe National Park for full-day safari activities that initiate with a 4X4 vehicle game drive. With a professional guide, head out in the grassland following herds of elephants and also spot wildebeest, cheetahs and lions. After lunch, join a boat safari to spot a variety of birdlife, crocodiles and hippos. Relax at your lodge in the evening and enjoy delicious meals.
Day 11 : after your take-off from Botswana you’ll land in Windhoek, the capital city of Namibia and will go to your light aircraft for your flight to Sossusvlei. From here you will be driven to Little Kulala which overlooks rugged Namib mountains, and dune scenery to the west. Take time to relax and enjoy your meals at the lodge. Enjoy the towering dunes here during the evening hours and enjoy the sunset.
Admire wild life
Day 12 : after breakfast, you will fly to Ongava Private Game Reserve close to Etosha National Park. You will arrive and settle in Little Ongava and after lunch head for game drive activities, and private nature walks.
Day 13 : arrive on your chartered flight to Sabi Sands Game Reserve which offers a perfect combination of wildlife safaris and ultimate relaxation. You will be accommodated at the Lion Sands Private Game Reserve. After lunch, you can have the afternoon time to settle down for your first game drive. A professional guide will accompany you to help you spot the Big Five. During the sunset hours, you can enjoy a night safari where you can view nocturnal species like owls, porcupines, and African wildcats.
Day 14 : on your final day of the trip spend time leisurely at your pace. Enjoy your morning breakfast and watch a variety of animals come and go from your private deck. Your private driver will meet you and take you to Skukuza Airport… From where fly you to Cape Town International Airport and then take the connecting flight home.
