Relaxing at Anantara Spa Shanghai

Relaxing at Anantara Spa Shanghai
Find a luxury Spa retreat in Shanghai is quite easy, as so many places exist ; however only a few propose a full Spa experience in a chic and elitist atmosphere like Anantara Spa at The Puli.

What impressed the most when entering The Puli Hotel and Spa is definitely the design. Attention to detail, atmosphere, customer management… Everything is carefully made to treat guests like VIPs and for sure Anantara Spa is no exception. Settled at the third floor, it offers a luxury case to Spa visitors with its indoor pool, five treatment suites – all with steam and shower rooms – and a fitness center.

I experimented a 60-min Aromatic treatment that consists in the best of Swedish and aromatherapy massage, using one of the four specially blended essential oils – Anantara, Harmony, Thailand Spice and Tranquility – chosen with the therapist at the beginning of the session. The experience starts with a Floral Foot Ritual and ends with some refreshment in the lounging area.

My therapist – a Chinese woman – was attentive to my wellness and carefully adapted her pressure. The essential oil I selected – Anantara – was really scented and gave to the suite a very nice perfume during all the treatment. Finally I stated at the beginning that I wanted a relaxing massage, and that’s exactly what I had! Thank you Anantara Spa.

The treatment described is a 60-min Aromatic Massage, which public rate is 1.080 CNY.
