A popular one to visit is located in Vatnajökull National Park, called the Skaftafell ice cave, and with beautiful surroundings, it is worth spending some time in the area as well to explore.
Hike on a volcano
Icleand seems to have it all, and that includes a volcano! One of Iceland’s biggest volcanos is Crack Katla, standing at over 1500 meters tall.
If you want an incredibly intense hike up to the top it is possible, but you can also do a tour such as one with a SuperTruck and make your way up that way to explore from there.
See the Westfjords
The Westfjords are a beautiful spot in Iceland that are less crowded than some of the other places, and culturally fascinating with their history in magic and folklore.

Whale watching is another popular activity to do in Iceland, with some of the most common whales you’ll see here being humpback and minke whales.
