For this long week-end in the middle of summer we chose a great location near Paris – 2 hours by TGV – in Switzerland: Lausanne and its Lake Geneva. We were very lucky with the weather and we stayed 2 nights in one of the best hotel in Europe, the Beau-Rivage Palace in a room facing the lake, so everything was ready for a great stay ! And it was, for sure.
During this trip we visited Lausanne and Geneva – during an afternoon only – and we had the chance to have a romantic dinner on a riverboat… Just perfect to relax after a hardworking week ! In my view Lausanne is much more pleasant and typical than Geneva which is more a “business” city. Be also prepare for the exchange rate that is NOT attractive at all… Welcome to Switzerland !
