Second and final part of a travel in Spain, I had lot of expectations with Ibiza after a bad stay in Madrid. And it exceeded all of them ! From the room to the SPA, from the service to the unbelievable restaurant quality, our 2-night stay there was perfect and I highly recommend you to experiment it too.
Location is in Santa-Eulalia, at 25 minutes driving or 1-hour boat trip from Ibiza city ; just the perfect peaceful place far from the noise. Moreover the thalasso and SPA spaces allow you to relax and take care of yourself before going back to work. If you plan to come during summer you could book a Junior Suite Prestige – the one we had – that possesses a nice terrace and jacuzzi overlooking the main hotel’s pool.
Finally, you MUST try a lunch or dinner at La Vinoteca restaurant. When we went there the first night we had a big wake-up call about hotels restaurant quality as both service and food preparation were stunning !
The Insotel Fenicia Prestige – the Insotel brand’s flagship – opened in 2006 is composed of 450 guest rooms and suites. We booked a Junior Suite Prestige – 60 sqm on two floors – with terrace and jacuzzi at 400 EUR/night with a package including SPA access, daily breakfast and dinner.
Living
The first impression when you see this modern hotel planted in the middle of no-where in Santa Eulalia is astonishment. But when you enter the lobby you immediately feel luxury and class thanks to a design based on forms of the sea, which you can find in all areas.
The large pool area is the central point of this hotel, with garden, patio and pool bar. It offers also a direct access to Santa Eulalia city center instead of go through check-in entrance.
Of course the key point there is the SPA: 1200 sqm dedicated to relaxation and treatments with indoor pool, bubble jets, steam and sauna rooms as well as an outdoor pool with patio.
Room
We enjoyed so much our fabulous Junior Suite Prestige, especially the terrace with jacuzzi ! So delightful during a hot autumn…
I particularly loved the interior design with wooden floor and open-air bathroom with its plenty of bath products. All furnitures are made in premium material and the room is completely soundproof. Domotic is also very present in this room, far from my idea of a thalasso hotel.
All rooms in that category have good views and are well-located in the hotel ; if we come there next time we will try the Presidential Suite.
Dining
The biggest surprise I had visiting a hotel for a long time: La Vinoteca Restaurant. Service and food quality were truly impressive, at a Michelin-starred restaurant level for modest prices and finest location. I especially enjoyed the fact that they can cook something you want upon request even if it is not on the menu. That was really surprising to find such a place in a small village close to Ibiza although it is part of a 5-star property.
Buffet breakfast is served at the -1 floor and is also very nice ; cookers and waiters were the same as La Vinoteca so that made it as pleasant as possible.
Level of exigency
No complain to say about service, it was really at a 5-star level especially at La Vinoteca restaurant. I had only bad experience at SPA entrance when therapist didn’t want to understand that we had a package including SPA access.
By the way upon check-in, check-on and cleaning service we always experimented some smiles and polite words.
