For my first time in United Arab Emirates, I chose to take a 3 days stopover in Dubai before going to Maldives ; flying with Emirates you can find many interesting offers, especially including stopover. I was very worried about what to do in Dubai but finally it was ok, there are lot of great things to discover such as amazing malls, water parks, desert tours, famous towers… Burj Al Arab and Burj Khalifa are a must see, there is no such buildings in the world and only the rich UAE can offer you this kind of architecture. Armani Hotel in Burj Khalifa (the world’s tallest tower) is a good option, but there is plenty of choice for five-star hotels in Dubai so you can select the one you want depending of what you like : stay in a mall, close to a racecourse or in the beach. In my view the maximum length of stay should be 1 week.
Then after a short stay in a vibrant and modern city the perfect escape is to go to a luxury resort in a small and natural Maldivian island lost in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Of course my heart definitely belongs to Conrad Rangali Island, awarded many times as the world’s best resort, which is famous to be the only one maldivian resort with two islands linked by a bridge and an outstanding underwater restaurant. For a first stay in Maldives, whatever the resort, I would recommend to spend half of the stay in a beach villa and the other half in an overwater villa.
Stay from May 9th to 17th.
