Living

Park Hyatt Beijing – Lobby

From building entrance you go straight to the lobby via a dedicated lift which brings you to 63rd floor ; there, you can admire the whole city while check-in and then go relaxing at The Lounge, a residential style all-day dining venue. A stunning lobby that represents the heart of the hotel: from there you access rooms and spa areas in below levels while China Bar and China Grill restaurant are located in the last 2 floors in an open-air style. The overall makes a chic and comfortable atmosphere with a contemporary design inspired by classical Suzhou architecture and Oriental water gardens, reflecting brilliantly the trendy reputation of the place.

Room

Park Hyatt Beijing – Park Deluxe King Room

We booked a Park Deluxe King room, a middle-range category which offers a good Park Hyatt experience thanks to its large size, an open-air bathroom with spa-inspired bath and its corner location with 180 degree view of the city. Rooms reflects the Oriental and contemporary design of common areas and are furnished with all five-star hotel standards ; special mention for TV selection and wifi access that were both very effective and entertaining, something to take into account for business stay. Designer put large space for the dressing, which is also a good point for workmen and/or long-haul travelers.

Dining

Park Hyatt Beijing – China Grill tuna appetizer by Chef Diviki

Our dining experience at China Grill was the biggest surprise of the stay at Park Hyatt Beijing. First, because of the impressive location on the very last floor of the building, under a glass pyramid that gives the feeling to literally eat in the sky ; second and mostly, because kitchen is managed by the talented Chef Szaszi Diviki who proposes international dishes with Oriental touches that worth every RMB spent there. The Chef is also present some mornings preparing a-la-carte breakfast dishes, taking care of guests personally and being very attentive to their needs ; this is definitely what we can call a luxury dining service. Special mention to the buffet breakfast which offers a large homemade food selection and on-request fresh squeezed juices.

On the other hand, we lunched at The Lounge – all-day dining – where we enjoyed a traditional but delicious homemade Club Sandwich ; once again, a very good cuisine there.

Level of exigency

Park Hyatt Beijing is part of a huge luxury hospitality group ; for sure staff followed a specific training and reach all finest standards. I especially noticed housekeeping, fast, faultless and punctual, as well as concierge team who provided good advices and ordered a wonderful local guide for a Great Wall tour. Thank you.
