Activities

There are three experiences hosted by Palais Amani which really showcase Fez at its best:

  • The Fez Cooking School is combined with a foodie tour of the medina, which offers a fascinating insight into life in the city. The class takes place on the roof terrace, with the talented head chef who is bubbly and patient. Visitors will learn to cook a selection of Fassi, Moroccan or Sephardic dishes and get to enjoy their tasty hard work at the end.

  • Take a 30-minute chauffeur-driven journey into the countryside for a 3.5 hour hike like no other. Trekkers will learn more about the Berber culture and take in the breathtaking views of the ancient city, the Sebou Valley, Rif Mountains and Sais Plains.
  • The medina is a myriad of 10,000 lanes and alleys full of energy, people and a rich history. Palais Amani have guides that will take you through the labyrinth and show you the hidden gems lying within.

Dining

Eden Restaurant at Palais Amani promises ‘Market Moroccan’ local produce. Sample sumptuous signature dishes from a weekly changing menu, as well as a diverse tapas that harks back to the 13th-century Arabo-Andalusian cuisine that was once prominent in this area.

Breakfast is also special here with a three-course experience available. This changes daily and includes fruit, pastries, breads, eggs and warm and cold drinks. Moroccan specials include Harira and Meloui, M’hammer or Bghrir. Grab a table outside for alfresco dining and the backdrop of birdsong.

Spa

Morocco’s second city is the home of the hammam. Treat yourself and your body to a cleansing hammam ritual and come away feeling cleaner than you’ve ever felt. You’ll be scrubbed, washed, exfoliated, massaged and rinsed to a brand new, fresher you. Not to be missed.
